Request a Couturier Appointment with Mitchell

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! We can't wait to welcome you into our world of custom bridal couture at Studio I Do. Couturier consultations have a fee of $300, this acts as a placeholder as spots are limited for custom wedding gowns. The appointment fee is nonrefundable, however if you choose to say yes to your custom dress the fee will go towards the total price of your wedding gown. Here are a few things to keep in mind if you are interested in a custom gown!

Timeline

Custom wedding gowns can take between 8 and 10 months to go from consultation to finished product. Fittings will be booked according to the timeline estimated at the first consultation. A rush can be added to your order if you are not within that range, it will be an additional fee to expedite the process.

Fabric options

Studio I Do Couturier brides have limitless options with fabric options. We have base fabrics available for you to touch and feel during your appointment. Some fabrics are only available in certain colors and finishes but if you have a specific color or fabric type in mind we will source that for you to approve before your gown has entered production.

What you should bring

If you have inspiration photos bring those with you to your consultation. Bring your wedding shoes and if you are using any existing fabric from another gown such as an heirloom bring that with you as well.

Who you should bring

The Studio I Do Couturier bridal experience is not your typical bridal appointment, we ask that you bring up to 2 guests with you that have your happiness in mind.

How the process works

The custom gown ordering process has a few steps. The first step would be booking your Couturier appointment, at this appointment we will be discussing your inspiration and bringing your ideas to life as we illustrate your dream wedding gown. After sketching, we will look through the swatch book to determine which fabric option would be the best for your specific project. After our sketch and fabrics are approved we will give you a cost estimate based on your fabrics and design complexity. This is only an estimate, the total cost can change throughout the design process if any design or fabric changes are made. You will place a "deposit" for your wedding gown to begin the process. The deposit is 50 percent of the total estimated cost minus the 300 consultation fee. After your deposit is held we take your detailed measurements and then we can begin the production of your wedding gown. As we go through production we will schedule you fittings to try on the pieces of your wedding gown to make any fit or design changes before the gown's completion. At the gown's completion the remainder of the balance is due. we will bring you in for your final fitting where you will try on your gown and take it home. After you have taken the dress home any further alterations made will go through our in house alterations department.

We are looking forward to handcrafting your dream wedding dress. See you soon!
